How to download and install the Anti-Virus patch on an ECOT-Supplied or Home PC.

You may want to print these instructions, so that you can refer to them during the installation process.

1. Log into your computer (online) normally, to connect to the Internet.
2. Read all of these instructions before proceeding to the end.
3. Click on the "Click Here to Download" link at the end of this page.
4. In the "File Download" window which appears, click "Save".
• Do NOT click on "Open". This will attempt to install the file from the server, which could lock up your computer.
5. When the "Save As" window appears, on the left side click on the "Desktop" icon.
6. Click on the "Save" button (lower right of the window).
7. Wait for the software to load.
8. If the "Download" window does not close automatically, click the "Close" button.
9. Close windows until you see your desktop.
10. Double-click the icon named "stinger".
11. In the "Stinger" window, click the "Scan Now" button at the top.
12. This will take some time, as it looks at every file on your computer.
13. Let the scan complete. Do not cancel the process.
14. The program will inform you if it found any virus-infected files, and what it did about it.
15. If any files were reported to be infected, make sure you have installed your own Anti-Virus program and have completely cleaned your machine before connecting to the ECOT network and possibly introducing the virus into the system.
