How to download and install Internet Explorer 6, SP1 on an ECOT-Supplied PC.

1. Log into your ECOT computer (online) normally, to connect to the Internet.
2. Click on the "Start" menu.
3. Click on "Settings"
4. Click on "Control Panel".
5. Double-click on "Add/Remove Programs"
6. Wait a few seconds for the window to load.
7. There should be 6 or 7 items in the list.
• If the list is empty, make sure the "Categories" drop-down box is set to "Student Software".
• If the drop-down is correct and you still see no items to install, make sure you have done all the updates in the above Technology section.
• If you have performed the Technology updates, you may need to call the Help Desk for assistance.
8. Click once on the "Internet Explorer" item to select it.
9. Click on the "Add" button.
10. Several windows will come and go (do NOT hit the "Cancel" button on any of them).
11. After some time, the last window will prompt you to restart your computer.
    Click the "Yes" button to restart (you MUST restart your computer).
